that why you get a regraphed dizzy, they change the springs/weights etc and can change the curve that the dizzy advances on, so you can have a good base timing but have it advance more as your driving to get you to the same total advance as you used to have with the higher base timing. get a timing gun and check what the timing advance is at a higher rpm on your good current setting, you should be able to see how many degrees it advances to

about 10 static and 34 total. I think the VL had about 6 static but can't remember.

G'day Gents,
I've been driving the HQ around for quite some time now and am wondering whether or not I should switch to an EFI system.
I'm looking at Holley and Edelbrock EFI systems. Can anyone here let me know whether or not the Holden engine can accept a standard Chevy intake?

No, the Holden V8 & the SB Chev are totally different designs. Dr Terry. |
