What would the various other taller salisbury diff ratios have been used for ? i.e 3.73 -to 1, that were available at the release of the 81837 HK Monaros. Are they still about or are they just a collectors item. Just they came in conversation with a friend and the subject came up. I don't think I have seen one advertised for sale or wanted for that matter.....Jack

Standard on HK 1837 was 3.36:1. You could option 3.08:1 or 3.55:1 in a 10-bolt, or dealer order and fit a 12-bolt with 3.73, 4.10, 4.56 or 4.88 ratios. The 12-bolts cost a bomb and had a long lead time. |

I am sure that I had a 10 bolt with a 4.10 in it. Was told at the time it was a factory option. Maybe I was wrong?

As far back as I can remember you could always get shorter ratios for the 10-bolts, but they were aftermarker and included spacers for (from memory) the crownwheel. I doubt you'd have got one factory 4.10 for a HK-HG in a 10-bolt, if it was there from near new it'd be a 12-bolt or a dealer organised aftermarket gears? |

A friend heard of one recently, a 3.73 supposed to have had very little use, I was wondering if there is any call for these, what would it be worth.....Jack
