G'day All,
Need to replace the diff oil in my HK Monaro, standard 10 Bolt Salisbury LSD. I cannot find the bolt to drain it, only to fill it.
Do I 1/ Have to remove the entire back cover 2/ Is the bottom bolt the drain plug bolt 3/ None of the above - then what?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Al

Al,
Try removing the bottom 3 or 4 bolts & loosen other ones on the sides, and gently prise the cover up - about 1/16", tops.
That's the only way I've ever drained GM Salisbury diffs.
Did that on my Skylark, a tiny bit of seepage after a year, but not even enough to drip on the floor ( that's the auto's job- rustprofing my concrete) |
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right. |

Hey Man,
Thanks very much for that, that's what I suspected I might be doing.
Cheers
