Hi I am having trouble finding the difference between 6 cyl and v8 column shift powerglide linkages, I cant seem to find any pics and what pieces are different, is it just the crossover under the trans or the whole lot? Is there a link I can find pics? Thanks

They are totally different.

The pictures that you posted a few days under the title 'Powerglide help', includes the majority of the 6-cyl set-up.

As you can see, the 6-cyl shifter linkage runs under the bell-housing.

The V8 linkage runs across at the rear of the trans, just in front of the rear crossmember.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Does the v8 crossover linkage bolt to the trans pan like a th350 or mount similarly to the 6 cyl one, off the subframe and of a bracket bolted to the passenger side?
