Gday guys and gals just 2 quick questions:
1 - VC commodore 4 cylinder rear axes (with early stud pattern) will 6 cylinder (with commodore stud pattern) axles fit the 4 cylinder diff and diff housing ?
2 VZ commodore revers park sensors not working - no blown fuses - any suggestions on why they are not working ? (can a blown T-Bar light in the console affect this ?)
Thanks for any help Cheers Barry. |

Don't see why not with the 4 CYL only the 3.9:1 ratio may be a problem spline should be the same.
Parking sensors don't think they last long they just bugger up from what I have come across.

I would think the 4cyl housing would be shorter than the 6cyl, the housings are also different part numbers to each other.

Yes the 4 cylinder commodores have the Torana stud pattern, what Im hoping to do is change the stud pattern on my 8 year old sons paddock basher as I have a set of old mags he wants to bolt on off a VH commodore. The front struts are simple enough, but I want to keep the 3.9 diff as the VH had a 2.98 and would make it a bit hard to spin the wheels with the 4 banger. If I can just swap the axles over it would be great............... |

I know the station wagons had a shorter with diff, I am unsure of the 4 cylinder sedans, I am hoping that there is not much difference except the stud patters and 13 inch wheels. With a bit of luck someone on here may be able to tell me before I have to start pulling axles out ........Im not as keen as I was in my 20's lol |
