i just bought i 5" monster tacho for my VR calais. but i cant get the tacho signal to work. i have tried tacking it from the pack itself, the plug behind the passenger side strut tower and behind the instrument cluster. the back light works which means there is power and all but no signal. can anyone help me make this work.

hook it up to the signal terminal behind the speedo. it will say "ign" on one of the plugs behind your gauge cluster(the bit thats pushes into the actual dash) follow that track back till you find a small brass nut 6-8mm? hook it up there.
