i just bought i 5" monster tacho for my VR calais. but i cant get the tacho signal to work. i have tried tacking it from the pack itself, the plug behind the passenger side strut tower and behind the instrument cluster. the back light works which means there is power and all but no signal. can anyone help me make this work.

hook it up to the signal terminal behind the speedo.
it will say "ign" on one of the plugs behind your gauge cluster(the bit thats pushes into the actual dash)
follow that track back till you find a small brass nut 6-8mm?
hook it up there.

are you hokking the right wires up?
no offence but do you know which is which?
if it works on your mates car it should work on yours.
either your wiring is wrong or not conecting properly (earth?)
or you have found the wrong point to hook up the signa

Hi Johnno.
Three wires are red active power feed ( when ign is in the run/on )
black is the earth or ground/neg.
green is the signal and sould be wired to the neg post of your coil only. The night lights will not be part of the wire loom, they will be
