bit to much fiddling around for me, i'd rather buy a stroker crank.

what are stroker cranks worth to buy? and what sizes can you get them in?

Honestly i dont know, im yet to find i place that makes them for a 202.
i know someone who is selling a reground 202 crank here are the specs-
Conrod size -.020" Main bearing size - .010"
would this crank give any extra stroke? and can standar

Rods for the Six's I dont know? Doubt they'd be holdens. For the 8s they use something like the Hemi six rods. If the Deck height from the Cranks center line measures the same as the holden six's then you'll use the 221 rods. Then you have to find wrist p |

Rods for the Sixs I dont know? Doubt theyd be holdens. For the 8s they use something like the Hemi six rods. If the Deck height from the Cranks center line measures the same as the holden sixs then youll use the 221 rods. Then you have to find wrist pins. |

The Starfire and black/blue rods are the same. The Ford crank they cut the flywheel end off and weld a Holden one on. (I reckon it would be cheaper and easier to adapt a ford flywheel).They work out about $600 I believe. Dont know what rods they use.

What about the Ring Gears teeth John? Do/ would they match the Holden starters? This would relate to the Fords F/ wheel size too. Retro fitting the Holden ring gear on the Ford Wheel may be a bit trying.
Do you know of this being done mate?

im looking at getting the 221 crank and getting the holden end put on, then all i need to do is find out what rods i can use then i will be laughing all the way down the strip.

I have a 235 stroker in my LC GTR utilising the ford 221 crank. Basically as already stated the 221 crank is cut and welded to allow for the holden flywheel and balancer. To get 235 cubes you need to use Starfire/blue/black rods and falcon pistons. The

byron engeneering makes the stroker kits i think! or it could be bryant something like that

yer im not 100% sure what im going to do yet. Using the ford crank sounds like its going to take a lot of stuffing around and in the end that will most likely add up to big $$$

It will if you cant find them in ready sorted kit Form.
And at the end of the day, You only need enough Power to smoke the hides.
