Rods for the Six's I dont know? Doubt they'd be holdens. For the 8s they use something like the Hemi six rods. If the Deck height from the Cranks center line measures the same as the holden six's then you'll use the 221 rods. Then you have to find wrist p

The Starfire and black/blue rods are the same. The Ford crank they cut the flywheel end off and weld a Holden one on. (I reckon it would be cheaper and easier to adapt a ford flywheel). They work out about $600 I believe. Dont know what rods they use.

What about the Ring Gears teeth John? Do/ would they match the Holden starters?
This would relate to the Fords F/ wheel size too. Retro fitting the Holden ring gear on the Ford Wheel may be a bit trying.

Do you know of this being done mate?

I have a 235 stroker in my LC GTR utilising the ford 221 crank. Basically as already stated the 221 crank is cut and welded to allow for the holden flywheel and balancer. To get 235 cubes you need to use Starfire/blue/black rods and falcon pistons. The

would this crank give any extra stroke? and can standard cranks be reground to give extra stroke, if so how much more stroke can be gained?

yer im not 100% sure what im going to do yet. Using the ford crank sounds like its going to take a lot of stuffing around and in the end that will most likely add up to big $$$
