Hi John, It might be a common fault like the XC Fords, when fitted with after market air conditioning. It drains the battery by not re-charging it properly. I solved my problem by changing standard 55 amp alternator to 80 amp, but still should have Edited by user Sunday, 11 May 2008 8:05:50 AM(UTC)

Hi john.
What type of alternator is it, does it have a separate (external) regulator mounted on the radiator support panel or is it internal. Originally HQs had the external type. If you've already fitted a recond alternator, it could be a faulty regul |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Hi JOHN.
If the brightness of the alternator light changes when you select reverse, your ignition fuse is blown. This is why the light is on. The alternator will be OK.
