In other words how do you get the speedo to work on a VS commodore running turbo 350 Trans & VN computer? Thanks.............. Time is running faster than ever before ? VS computer uses 10 pulse per rev speedo and so does VN so the speedo should still work. I would have thought that itd be the VN ECU thats be complaining as it wants to see 2 pulse per rev whereas the VS ECU takes 10 pulse directly. The VN speedo does the |

Thanks for reply & info Byron. Much appreciated.
The car is my sons which is nearing completion. Hasnt even been started yet. Will be in two weeks time.
It was originally V6 & has been transplanted with "5.7" ltr stroker (there you go no grumbling)

The grumbling isnt because people dont call then 5.7L. Its because the call them a 355 when they are a 350.
As I said, for a VN ECU you need a 2 pulse per rev speed signal, where the 2 pulse signal is derived from the dash which does the conversion fro |

Thanks for suggestion PLAYWME, but I tried a VS V6 sensor as suggested and it does not fit into Turbo 350. To begin with the sensor Diameter is slightly larger so you cant use it as a plug off only and it is a completely different setup to a VN Trans. Th Edited by user Monday, 9 March 2009 1:30:48 AM(UTC)

A VS 4L60E is the name of the 4-speed automatic transmission found in Commodores, VR onwards.

Yes, different boxes but same codes. The boxes used to be called TH400, TH700R4 etc, but when the company structure changed (Dr Terry posted this up a while back), the names changed, so TH400 became 3L80, TH700 became 4L60. The E means electronic controll |
