Has anyone detailed information on how you fit Scratch plates to the doors of an EH.
Help needed as I brought some recently and don't have the fainest idea how to fit.

Some of the older ones have tabs that fit under the door handle, you have to access the back of the handle, loosen the bolts, slide the scratch plate in and do the bolts up again. A bit of double sided trim tape would also help.
I would be very reluctant to drill holes.

They should have tags that go under the door handle if there are no tags you have a problem check link. https://rsp-secure.com/S...DP1004.jpg&ImageFolder=

Loosen door handle, and fit plate with tabs under hadle ends, then tighten handle bolts to clamp the plate. A bit of double sided tape to hold the plate in place makes it a much easier one person job. If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |
