I was wondering if anyone has a photo or pic of the trim rings listed in the HK Parts Catalogue M36640 (yellow cover)on page 28 in the Accessories section. Part number 7428015 with 14-5/8" Outside Diameter. Ta. Edited by user Saturday, 23 April 2011 7:08:15 AM(UTC)

Hi Simon, Are they the light ones that are held on by the hub cap ? I thought I had one here but I've just been out to the shed and no I can't it. If I can dig it up you're welcome to a photo. The other 15 & 1/4 inch ones are made to clip to the standard hub cap....Jack

Hi Jack, I believe the 15-1/4" Outside Diameter ones listed are the more commonly seen version held on by the hubcap. They are chrome steel with lots of small squares, same as the HR type. I have several sets of these. They were copied in a lighter aluminium and sold as an aftermarket non genuine accessory, often passed off on ebay as "Original Nasco". The outer ring attached to a Premier hubcap was not sold seperately as far as I know. You just bought the whole thing as a replacement (also an accessory on Kingswood/Belmont/Monaro). The reason for the post is that there are 3 accessory types listed in the HK Parts Catalogue M36640 (yellow cover) but 7428015 is not listed in the updated blue cover HK parts catalogue, or the HT HG ones. I'm just curious to see the mystery ones. |

Hi Squeak,
No they are the most common type, the ones I mentioned above that were replicated in a cheap flimsy alloy. They are the 15"1/4 OD ones.
Thanks for looking out though. |

Has 'made in NZ' on label....should make them the NZ version made by the Dawson Reed company in Wainoni Road, Christchurch. The Factory (& company) are long gone. They made lots of auto accessories eg trims, mirrors etc for many years when most of the maunfacturers were local assembly. Holden NZ used to do that - use local manufacturers & use genuine part number.
