Guys
There's an old dude that lives around the corner from my mate's place, north of Tamworth. We help him out from time to time and I go up there regularly so I get him bits he needs from down here (Newcastle). He's currently putting a VS V6 engine (S1 or 2) into a Jackeroo. He's asked me to get him an ECU. I haven't had much V6 experience, only V8. I think the following is correct:
If it's a manual, the Delco 808 will plug into the harness, thus negating the need for a BCM mod. Will it need a new Memcal or will the VN/VP one run it?
If it's an auto he'll need to run the VS ECU and get a BCM mod done. Is this correct?
Any other stuff to be aware of? |

Hi Byron.
The problem here is that there is no 'off-the-shelf' memcal that can run a VS V6 (Ecotec) using an 808 Delco. You would have to buy a custom mem-cal.
It probably easier just to use the normal VS V6 sequential ECU & get the mem-cal modified |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
