Engine number B03665A Cast 21J9(21 9 89)is this a rebuilders number,there is no room at the start of the engine number to stamp another number.Thanks

It isn't a GMH engine number. Looks more like a WB chassis number to me, ie AWB03665A. Most VN engine numbers will be VUxxxxxx with the occasional VE, VK or SU prefix. |

HK1837,i noticed in your profile picture that you have a 1 ton overlander,was it built pre 1980 or 1983 to 1989,the reason i ask is that i have a 11/79 vacationer wagon,the last one built around 1989 for and by the engineer that worked for Arthur.Glove box was signed by Arthur in 2008 as authentic.

It was built in July 1978 from a new B06 1-tonner. It was a factory L31 M41 GV4 tonner in Ultra Blue. Had U17 dash but no air or steer, column shift and buckets.
It was number 3 of what Arthur called "series 2" which I believe was just HZ (but included wagon), and "series 1" were HJ and HX but only utes, vans and tonners. |
