I'm trying to end up with a very uncluttered dash in the HK ....

Will a later column fit?

Yes, anything can be made to fit with some modification. But it seems like a lot of work just to lose the wiper/washer knob & ignition barrel of the facia. The dash with be slightly less cluttered, but the column more-so, not much of a gain methinks.

Also a lot of work mechanically to keep safety compliance.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thanks Terry

the idea is to get rid of the existing cluster and fascia completely including the centre fascia and run a set of after market gauges....

Other than using a later Holden column I guess I could use one of the hotrod columns.

What would the compliance issues be for a column swap if it's collapsable as the original is?

Cheers
