Dr Terry is your man, but I don't think they did. HG utes and vans assembled after HQ volume production started didn't get HQ trimatics either.

No, the only auto fitted was the Hydramatic.

No, I don't believe GM-H ever fitted the X2 engine option to a 1965 build EH ute or van. This would require a unique exhaust system, which isn't listed anywhere.

The only real change for the 65 EH utes & vans was that the front & rear brake shoes & drums were 1/2-inch wider with different wheel rims to suit.

No Powerglide EH's either, except perhaps for prototypes.

Why not trimatic in the 202 HG ute pv as they had tri in the HG.

No, HK1837 didn't say that the late HG utes & Vans didn't get the Tri-matic. He said that they didn't get the HQ Tri-Matic.

Those late HGs had HQ engines but the autos were still the HG type Tri-Matic with the cable kickdown instead of the HQ's electric type.
