With the last of the EH utes being made into the HD model, did they get the 2 sp auto like in the HD ?

Dr Terry is your man, but I don't think they did. HG utes and vans assembled after HQ volume production started didn't get HQ trimatics either. |

No, I don't believe GM-H ever fitted the X2 engine option to a 1965 build EH ute or van. This would require a unique exhaust system, which isn't listed anywhere. The only real change for the 65 EH utes & vans was that the front & rear brake shoes & drums were 1/2-inch wider with different wheel rims to suit. No Powerglide EH's either, except perhaps for prototypes. Dr Terry |

Why not trimatic in the 202 HG ute pv as they had tri in the HG.

No, HK1837 didn't say that the late HG utes & Vans didn't get the Tri-matic. He said that they didn't get the HQ Tri-Matic.
Those late HGs had HQ engines but the autos were still the HG type Tri-Matic with the cable kickdown instead of the HQ's electric type.
