I recently had a water leak on my VZ LS1, the Driver's side of the radiator was wet, ended up being the radiator cap, thought it was a split tank.

Not that picky Terry!
I would have thought people calling VG utes VN, or VU utes VX, or V2 Monaros VX or VY would be one of your pet hates too!

Warren knows better than most hence my in-jest comment.

I realise it was in jest, & you are correct, but my comment was also in jest.

Having said that, the radiator cap thing wasn't unique to the V2, it was common also to VTII, VX, VY, VU, WH, WK etc. etc.

It is always interesting this stuff, I have a productionline sticker that has VX coupe on it. So why not V2 coupe? Or do some sections of GM-H refer to it as a VX and others a V2.

But its like people calling a Statesman a Holden, a HZ GTS a Monaro etc etc etc. The list just goes on.

Is it X as in Calais/CV8 luxury level Warren?

I get what you mean though. I've had Ford w@nkers try to tell me a V2 or VZ Monaro is a Commodore, but they get upset when you tell them Fairmonts and Fairlanes must be Falcons then. I also get how people associate Statesmans as a Holden or a HQ SS or HZ GTS as a Monaro. But a V2 is in no way a VX, or a VY just like a VG isn't a VN or a VU isn't a VX.

Any chance it's split one or both tanks? This is quite common.
You can get some dye to add to the coolant to help see the leaks if you don't want to pull the radiator out to check.
Is it using water, and emptying the reservoir bottle and the radiator as well?

my vr developed a crack around the the pipe from the gearbox, just on the side of the radiator. it was a bit hard to detect exactly where water was coming from.
