..Hi Mate...I've run out of concentration for now, but what a wonderful find and fantastic essay. I think you might find that F.G James is Fred James...one of the original engineers on the first Holden (project 320)

Great read, it confirms a few things that I've found by looking at data, plus it also gives me the lift used for GMH cam timing which I've been looking for.
