Ok, so now I've had new rare spares rubber kit installed and the doors are a bit tighter to close.i take my mate for a test drive and he can't get out using the passenger internal door lever.it opens with the outside door lever fine.before I had the rubber kit installed it used open fine from the outside and only just open from the inside,I had a look but can't see what the problem is
Has anyone had this?any help is well appreciated

Oh the car is base model HK Monaro that I've put a 307 in 👍

Have you removed the door cards, are all the linkages are in place?...My experience is its mainly the drivers side..because of more wear and tear I guess...Its not to tight is it?...try adjusting the striker/bolt pin thingy.

If you purchased a Rare Spares Rubber kit it may have had a spray can of "Rubber Magic" included. Follow the instructions and spray the door seals.

It's the issue is a mechanical one,the door rubbers are fine.
I was hoping someone could tell me where the adjustment was ,maybe someone in the past has but sedan internals in my door

Seems like the internal door handle has a lot of travel before it does anything
Now that there's a bit of preloaded tention from the new rubbers it's not playing ball
Again it's nothing to do with the rubbers!

I look forward to the day when rares pump out HK shells👍 I want a race car!

As Griffo said, pull the door card off and see where the play is between the door lock remote control and the lock/snib assembly. There is an access hole at the inner upper rear of the door, where you can see the lock/snib assembly.
The only adjustment I'm aware of is at the lock striker plate on the B pillar, so it may be that you have to replace or rebush worn parts.

I had the same problem with my drivers door.
Probably not the correct way to fix but I gave the long link from the handle back to the latch mechanism a slight bend...
