Thanks mate, I didn't think to look in the HG book, saw it wasn't in HK.
I looked in the HG book and yes it does appear to mount off the threads of the radiator. Anyone have any ideas how this works? The top radiator bolts on my HK use standard clip-nuts used everywhere on the body, the bottom two are nuts welded to the radiator support. I guess I could use some threaded rod and weld a nut to it for the top holes, then put it into the support with nuts and lock washers on the front so both the radiator and the condenser are effectively stud mounted. Bottome one would just screw into teh captive nuts.
The HG parts book shows the A/C lines running through a round hole in the firewall, anyone know where this is on the firewall?
I'm looking to mount the SD508 on the driver's side now with a serpentine drive. Will have to try somehow get a line through to attach to the driver's side of a condenser, then out of the condesner into the drier on the passenger side, sneak through the hole in the radiator support on the outside lower of the rail, run along under the LH wheelarch/rail and come through the big round hole at the back onto a bulkhead fitting in the heater box blank. The heater hoses will go through the same fitting. Will come out of the other side of the Vintage Air Evaporator+valve under the dash, run across and go through the 6cyl speedo cable hole or through the clutch rod hole in the column base (will try and fit a solid fitting here), with a hose up to the back of the compressor.
I guess the other option would be to use both the 6cyl speedo cable hole and the hole in the steering column base for the refrigerant lines, and then run both the drier to evaporator line and the compresser to condenser line through the driver's side 'big rounnd hole' running both up under the RH wheelarch, just not sure how easy it will be to sneak two lines through the hole in the radiator support next to the rail. This would mean using a condenser with both outlets on the driver's side, which is what an original HK-HG one has, not sure if you can buy new ones oif these anymore though.
