Central locking on an HJ was very rare, usually only seen in late Statesman Caprices, yours may not be factory units.
I note that that your wire colours are blue & green. The factory wiring was black & dark green.
You could check out places like Jaycar, they sell universal fit door lock solenoids.

I don't think I ever saw central locking on HJ Terry? My memory said HZ and the solenoids were down low. They were attached by hex head screws not phillips head if my memory still works. Doesn't mean they didn't exist, I just never came across them. The only place in internal literature I can even find mention of them is in an early issue of the HX Features manual (12/75) where it says "power door locks are new for Statesman Caprice". That is gone from the August 1976 revision though. It is quite clear on the HX Caprice sales brochure though that electric door locks are included. Will go and see if I can find anything for HJ. |

Given the sometimes close relations between GMH and GM North America, I wonder if GMH used a GM part from there?

Very well could be. The power window motors are. Hard to tell with later W size stuff though as they used 92xxxx part numbers for a lot of stuff even if it was imported. In HQ they tended to use the US part numbers. |
