Ive just replaced the repaired radiator in my vc brock
After starting up and bleeding and idle car for 10 mins I’m not really getting a temp read on the dash
Needle sits in the “cold” section of the guage
Not sure what’s going on I never unplugged the temp sensor lead only the 2 leads that go to the sensor on the driver side tank

the dash gauge gets its coolant temp feed from a sender in the front of inlet manifold (on Holden XT5 engines used from VC on)
Is the lead (part of the engine harness) connected to the sender? If so, have you tested the sender itself?
(full details of this are in the GMH engine service manual/VB Commodore manual)

btw ...the leads in the rad side tank are for the aircon cooling fan's switch (and NOT the dash gauge)

Haven’t tested the sender as the guage was working before I pulled the rad out
Where should the needle sit on the guage when the car is warm?

Did you disconnect the 0V wire from the battery to the radiator support?

No, it’s intact
Ive idled the car for 15min and put a temp gun on the top hose
I get a reading of 70 degrees
And the bottom hose about 55
I was thinking I might have a stuck open thermostat but even if that was the case, I’d still get a temp reading albeit a delayed one??
