Hi guys, just read this on OH.com, so using the formula 186x4500/3456 (cid x rpm/3456) to find the required CFM makes my 186 want a 242ish cfm carby. my Q is what is the CFM of a single barrel stromberg, + a ww 2 barrel? You can easily work the same formula out yourself by:

thanks Byron, after reading the ww stromberg identification thread the other day i haven't yet looked for a part number on mine so i can tell which model/engine it's from, i will tomorrow...I plan to use the ww + X2 headers on a stock 186/powerglide at fi

if anything, go a bit bigger, rather than smaller. even a 300cfm. you will lose a bit of responsiveness, nut with correct jets, it will go well, and leave room for further improvements like exhausts, cams, rebuilds etc.
