Howdy, Does anyone know if the shift on a Celica 5spd will clear a bench seat in a HG? Just had the Brougham Bench/Bucket re-covered so I don't want to lose it - any ideas? Does anyone know of a remote-shift set up available...?

Don't know for sure, buy one suggestion may be to get a HQ-WB Bench seat shifter stick and weld/adapt it to the Sillycar shifter stub. You'll probably not be able to move the bench fully forward though. |

The 3 spots all have a unique shifter housing casting, that you can't rotate (due to their being a slant on the rear of the box).
The Hilux position suits a commodore perfectly (comes directly up from the shifter plate, in the front half of the plate). |

Sure can Dave, they are practically identical, inside & out, bar the first 1 or 2 ratios, and the variations in the shifter location & the heel on the selector rod.
