Rank: Guest Groups: Guests Joined: 2/09/2015(UTC) Posts: 43,977 Was thanked: 5 time(s) in 5 post(s)		hi, i own a landrover with a 186 holden motor, it pings quite bad running on 91 octane, i was just wondering what they were designed to run on from factory, here we have 91/96/and 98 octane, id like to run it on 95 as its cheaper, but stil better for it, any advice welcome..

Use a dizzy and coil off any blue 6 or an EFI VK. Run full 12V to the HEI coil. What the engine was designed to run on is probably irrelevant as it has probably
