i know its a ford box, but it's strong, and it's cheap. so tell me guys, will it fit in a VK commodore trans tunnel? clutch and bellhousing are not a problem.

cheers
Alex

Hi Boom, I think that the gearbox fits in the tunnel fine but I am not so sure on the shifter/linkages.
Have you considered fitting a single rail gearbox from a Cortina as these can be bought very cheaply. Same bellhousing and clutch, speedo cable etc.

My mates HK used to bust them regularly with about 400hp (350 Chev). He ended up going back to a Muncie and has never blown one of those.

Probably close to a good toploader in cost. You should find one for $750, except for the original HQ style which are worth good money because they belong to HQ GTS 350's.

I wouldn't be running a manual behind such an engine. Use a TH400.
