This poor old girl had her last day today. Beyond repair so it's now being cut up and stripped down to help keep others on the road

Hi. I gave away an EJ Ute I picked up for free and it needs to have a lot of the rear floor replaced mainly around the drivers side front of the rear spring area. It also needs front floor pans but they are available. Is any of that area possibly useable? This one has rusted and cracked and pushed itself up to the cargo floor.

Commodore booster mounting plates now made. Water jet cut from 3mm steel.

I finalised the EH pedal box modifications. This uses a VT manual clutch master cylinder under the dash. Transmission is 5 speed Getrag from VT so I wanted to use the entire VT hydraulic system. Fluid supply will be tapped out of the brake master cylinder reservoir. VT brake booster and master cylinder have also been adapted to the EH pedal box.

Finalised the VT Brake and Clutch master setups. Also spaced the booster of the firewall to add clearance. New rear shocks also arrived. USA made ViKing units to match the coil over front setup. Fully rebuildable and 19 stage adjustable for both rebound and compression. Eye upper mount as I intend to fit a cross-member to mount them. No more punching shocks through the floor.

Unfortunately the majority of the photos I have in this post are no longer available to view. They were hosted on oldholden.com which crashed a few years back. The sheds at oldholden.com have never been reinstated so the pics are gone.

Two EH wagons means two brake conversions needed. This second one is an automatic so it's a lot quicker to do than the manual. DONE.

A bit of progress today. Too hot to do much. I converted the small EH manual brake pedal pad to a larger HQ on style one. A new contoured plate welded to the original pedal pad. I also cleaned up the seat belt mounting plates salvaged off the white wagon. These will be used under the floor for the rear seat belts

First wagon going onto the rotisserie. The rotisserie came with the 3 wagon lot and has been made specifically for EJ and EH sedans and wagons.

Clutch pedal switch bracket added to pedal box. It's needed to deactivate the cruise control I intend to fit to the wagon.

Well it's on the rotisserie. Not a pretty sight. However I knew it was this bad so it's no surprise. Also started on rebushing the pedals in the pedal boxes.

Not sure on the stubs ie lowered etc. They are a generic USA made 2 piece stub. The ride hieght is determined by the height of the crossmember and the coli overs. This cross member was built 15mm taller in the main body than my previous one. This effectively raises the car 15mm compared to the other on I have. These are all custom made to order so all these dimensions are up to you to paly with.

A bit of a change in the project. The original 3 wagon bodies I bought have gone. The rusty white one has been scrapped and all usable body cuts put into storage. The 2 green shells have been sold to fund the latest Gundagai Grey shell. This one is from country NSW and very rust free. Someone at some time decide to sand the body down to paint it. It never got any paint and id now covered in surface rust. It's very light though and the panels will clean up nicely. It will need 4 floor pans due to rust and that's it. The beaver panel will also be replaced because of severe damage.

A long day. It took half the day to strip down the car and get it on ths rotisserie. A few hours stripping surface rust. I will be back on it tomorrow.
