Just out of curiosity, is there a better after market shifter to suit a M20/21 Aussie 4 speed?

A new one from Rare Spares maybe that isn’t all sloppy. Speco used to sell an aftermarket shifter but I think the need for them died when people started throwing Aussie 4spds in the bin. The last time I had one, also in a WB, I swapped it out for a VK Trimatic and TH400 shifter. At the time I just grabbed a B&M cooler off a wreck and got some plastic coated 5/16” LPG copper pipe and bent it up to suit. TH400 shifter came with the harness that plugs straight into the WB harness. It actually made it a far more pleasant far to drive, and I left the clutch pedal there as a foot rest!
I’d probably have an auto console insert here that will go straight into your console too.

no... in my opinion
nothing wrong with the factory shifter, as long as they are properly adjusted (as the case with the clutch)

SPECO did an aftermarket version, now no longer available for a number of years but (having had one)
it is no better than the genuine article ! the cross shaft does bind up so people loosen the retaining nut
and the whole thing gets sloppy

Would anyone have this alignment tool by any chance? I would like to rebuild my box and shifter but I can't find anything about this tool.

If someone has it and is willing to share the dimensions I can replicate the tool

Thank you
