How long did you stay at 180k? 30 seconds ? Where can you drive a HZ at 180 what was the accuracy of the speedo past 150?
Why doi Holden men allways bullshit?
Try all the way from Bundaberg to Brisbane and back hundreds of times dude just taking it easy and at night many a time, she had spotlights dude. that's not even getting into it.
She had 3.08 diff 235/60 x14 tyres and sat on 4500rpm at 180KM/H Back in the 1980's you are not sitting on 180 all the way but just float up to that crusing speed easy as, not pussing it at all.
Oh i always had a radar detector. still got busted tho at times.
I had a XG Longreach ute and a mate drove it on the double lanes all the way to Brisbane at 210KM/H and it was cutting out at 210 found out that it was speed limited, the Ford dealership did not even know they were. then when the ED Falcon came out they were speed limited to 180KM/H
a mate bought a 1994 Longreach and he was spewing that it was limited to 180 because every morning to get to work he drove at 210KM/H In his XC 5.8L. We had a run with my XG and his XC and he went out directly and bought a New XG, because he was so impressed !
I road on the double lanes out and to Brisbane at 240KM/H taking it easy dude not pushing it at all, just playing it safe ! if a car pulled out into the right lane you just back off touch the brakes, you have washed off the speed easy as and then just back to 4th 5th then 6th in no time. Look the 1/4 in 9 sec dude and a quiet bike stock as a rock.
No one can do what i did unless you get your eye in ? and know your car or bike real well. I would never drive something that i did not own like that, you have to work out your tyre pressures etc you have to know what you are doing. the average dude would be dead in no time because they do not have a clue, if you think you are pushing yourself then you are going too fast dude !
I rode Enduro bikes as well and dude that's a way to challange yourself hooking in full on !
But i am in my 60's now and retired, i have no need to hook in and i would not do such because i am not that fit etc to bother with such.
