Theres so many v8 powerglides out there how can I tell if its from a hk, I'm looking at one on the weekend and need to know, cheers

When i'm near the couple I have i'll let you know what is on their plates. Both are from HK Broughams. HT 307 'glides will be the same as later HK ones too. |

Date code is stamped on the right hand vertical side of the oil pan . hope this helps Mark. |

Here's some numbers Right hand vertical side of oil pan E8P11DL Under 'POWERGLIDE' Pat 1959.1960 Extension housing 3863192 The small splined output shaft spins freely but the larger spline shaft won't turn by hand at all, is this the oil pump?

I have looked all over mine and can't find any casting numbers,date codes or an Id number on the main case or extension housing. It hasn't got Powerglide cast into the side either.
