I have a mate that is looking to change the column shift manual in his ute, to a floor shifter.

Does anyone have a 3 speed manual shifter out there that they are willing to part with?? In Adelaide would be good, but he will look anywhere.

cheers

Hi Guys.

I've never seen an Opel 4-speed shifter used on an M15 3-speed, too many differences I think.

The best conversion, is to fit an Aussie 4-speed (M20/21/22) extension housing & shifter, they bolt straight on. Then just block off reverse. Conn

There is a 3 speed Speco floor shift on Ebay ATM. It's for an EH, so don't know about compatability. It's in Adelaide also.

Cheers.

Lucky day I have one from my HQ. I only had it on for 12 months before the box died after 500,000 km couldn't complain. I fitted a Supra 5 speed and kept it ever since. It is in excellent condition.

I have had both a Speco shifter on a 3sp, and done the four-speed conversion on a 3 speed, and both worked well. The speco shifter comes up through the floor closer to the driver than the four-speed shifter. It did not bother me as I did not have a center

Why stuff around? Just go out and buy an M20 or preferably M22 box secondhand for $150. A rebuild kit is about $80 if the box is OK. The bellhousing, clutch, tailshaft, rear mount, speedo cable etc are all the same. You'll have the 3 speed out and the 4 s
