I am having an common issue with a aussie 4 speed gearbox in my HJ Pano, it's jambing between reverse and all other gears and the only way to free it up is to tow it forward/backward with another car, I have had a gearbox kit and shifter kit put in but this problem is still happening. Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem???? I would really appreciate your input....

Aussie 4spds are known for this, but as far as I am aware the bit that stops it from happening is the shifter and it is normally a symptom of a worn out shifter. If the person who put a kit through it knew what they were doing the box should be OK as they would have replaced any worn bits like cluster, 1-2 gear, main shaft, input shaft, selectors and synchros. You can buy new shifters for them now.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?

Agree, a worn shifter will be the issue, not the gearbox.

Okay,My HJ Pano AUSSIE 4 SPEED was sticking between gears and we were becoming very frustrated with this so we took the advise from the expert members who replied to my post, put in a brand NEW SHIFTER & LINKAGES kit then "BINGO" she is back on the road and cruising
like it should be.

A big thank you to HK1837 & 8D11PCLH2 your advise is priceless!!!

SAFE & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
