Hi

Trying to fit centre lap only belt in my HJ 1 tonner with bench seat.

Did they originally come with centre lap belt ?

If so, Where do they bolt to on floor ?, with the stalks for driver & passenger under 1 bolt or did they have their own mounting nut in floor ?

Thanks in advance

Yes, all bench seat cars were 3 seat belts. The captive/welded nuts are shared with the outer seats. You need the right bolts, spacers etc. When I get time I'll scan you a picture.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?

Remember also, if pre 1/1/75 it will be 2 x lap/sah and 1 x centre lap belt. If 1/1/75 onwards it will be 2 x retractable and one lap belt.

This will help. Section B-B down the bottom (top images are sedan/wagon)

Part/drawing number 120384 is a split washer.
Item 7 is the spacer that allows the soft belt anchor to rotate. It is the same part for sedan/wagon/statesman as well with bench seat and continues into HX and HZ.
The bit under the bolt head is item 2 (the belt buckle for the outer seating positions), it sort of shows better on the sedan section B-B. This buckle is unique to commercial but I think it is the same as the commercial with bucket seats.
